Curious if anybody purchased Black Madeira or Ponte Tresa or other variety from this Ebay Seller and tasted their crops?   I was curious about his source for Black Madeira and his response was, he got BM from Ebay couple of years back and never kept track.  As for Ponte Tresa, he states on the Item being sold as it was a purchase from fmen2007 (ebayer).

This is just me, you do what you want, but there are several red flags here.

Purchase from well-known members that have their own pics of trees/fruit and can tell you exactly where, when, and from whom they got them.

Ebay seems to get worse every year. 

He's an absolute scammer.

Poison! fmen2007 is legit and a great guy but buy from him directly. Do not buy from Robot 815 (lol). This scammer will tell you his plant came from God if he thinks it will get you to buy the offering and then he will send you a plant from the Devil that will be dead on arrival...

Against my better judgement, I made impulse buy of some of his cuttings.   I received them and not very happy with the way they were shipped and in appearance.  Very thin branch and cut long after tree broke dormancy, which resulted in lots of die-off .   I immediately notified him and he told me to keep me posted.  However, after hearing and reading much, not sure if I would even feel motivated to keep going with this even if miraculously I manage to root one of these cuttings!! Argh!  

I've been a long time larking here and should have stuck to my normal practice (buy from those sellers who includes their f4f username for buyer to know them).  Oh well, live and learn. :)

Contact him and tell him that the cuttings are dead in action and tell him that you want to return them. He will likely not refund unless you return dead wood to him and if you file a grievance with eBay, they will side with him unless you can show good faith in returning the dead wood to him. Unfortunately, scamming bastard that he is, you will need to send it with routing so that you can prove delivery otherwise he will say that he never received the return and his eBay rating will thus remain high becasue ebay will not allow you to rate him once you have lost a grievance with them against him.... You are in a loose, loose situation and likely will only get limited satisfaction from a refund to offset your expense and inconvenience....
