We have a lot of posts about dark figs and green/white figs. What about the golden/yellow varieities? What's your favorite, known or unknown? Let's see some.

The closest thing I have to a gold fig is LSU Gold, but mine only look gold next to the unripe green figs.  Once you take them away from the tree everybody calls them " that big green fig".  But it is a delicious fig.  Not very "figgy" but extremely sweet.

I have LSU Gold, but it is yet to produce. Hopefully, this year will bring figs.

Does anyone grow 276-49? It's yellow and looks nice. I'd like to hear how it performs/tastes and maybe acquire a couple of cuttings if it is good. I find my collection lacking in yellow, so I would like to remedy that situation. PM me with options and pricing if you can assist. Interested in good knowns and unknowns.

That title name would sound good for naming an unknown or a numbered one that's for sure is not under any other name.

Yeah, it is the title of a great Ennio Morricone song used in "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly." I want to find a yellow fig so good that it makes me run around around in a frenzy like Eli Wallach in the cemetery scene.

Oh, I definitely walk on the dark side. Just trying to balance my fig karma. I've got the temptation of Preto and Black Greek on one shoulder. I need something light on the other to say, "For shame, John!" :)

Here is one possible 'cure' for our Martin.

Whenever he asks for a dark fig, send another white one along with it.
They should be 'coded' (say, x and y) and Martin will have to
grow them both to fruit (and I am sure that he will like the white one too).

Any other yellow figs favored by anyone? Perhaps something Middle Eastern? I've got LSU Gold. I had a single cutting of Well Sweep, but it did not make it.

Depends on your definition of golden.  This one was very good and it was on a plant less than 6 Mo old

Unknown

Golden Celeste picked too early and still greenish

They were both great.

I saw this post earlier but didn't have time to post my choice of gold fig. Of course mine would be Cajun Gold. Have you ever eaten fresh honey and comb right out of the hive and get a sugar rush. That is what this fig makes me think of.

LSU Gold center halves flanked by Cajun Gold on each side and above it

I like Jurupa.  My Panache are yellow when fully ripe and are fantastic.  Long Neck Yellow is late but is very good (mine were just okay for first season).
