The members of the board that are unable to drop-in have a strict no-drop-in policy.

I think there are only 12 E class figs to be had, lol.  160 is wayyyyy too many for some of us.  I'm on 1/4 acre, with about 120-150 fruit trees at last count, not including ~40 varieties of figs that are still in the cutting phase.  Some of us are limited not by choice, but by space (and/or spouse).

People talk a lot about FMV here, but I would argue that space/spouse issues are far more deadly to the fig hobby than FMV.

Is anyone getting their email blocked trying to send to encantofarms? The first list went through but the follow up email with an alternative list was blocked by the email server.

So I think I am tagged as spam now, which sucks if I try to respond to an email from encantofarms I will not be able to. I tried to resend the alternative list today but received the same message.

Is there a list of the available cuttings that does NOT require 'office' to see?

Thanks.

Gina,

James post 234 on page 5 has it as a PDF that you can view in Adobe, which you probably have but is free it you don't. If you can't open the PDF let me know I could put it in a text doc for you.

With each letter code being higher in cost, I shudder to think how much "Portland 3" costs labeled with the letter "S".

I requested 9 varieties, mostly D code, and nothing I've request from UCD. It will be interesting to hear what everyone requested later today.

I kept my wants in check by thinking about the level of care and time I should devote to each plant over the next year or two.

I'm documenting my practice with Brown turkey cuttings on various methods of rooting using honey, clonex, power, and no hormone with pool sand, natural sphag, chopped enhanced sphag, perlite, and vermiculite poured/squeezed distilled and hard water in bags and containers with dark versus indirect light, room temp versus 80f heating pad. So far, natural sphag, dampened with hard water and squeezed, in a container with indirect light and room temp with no hormone is working best, but they were not all started at the same time.

Need scissors to cut the sphag away from the delicate roots. I keep breaking them off!!!!AAArghh!

Not to fret Igor..!    Think Jon just took the morning off to do a little surfing or kick back.   Who could blame him, Swami’s earlier this morning was a mild low 70’s, sunny with 3’ swell........ :-)

Ha! I would do the same being him. What's better, to go through the gazillions of orders (some duplicates like mine, had to email again just in case) or take a beach brake!

What's that "White Madeira" thing on your wish list?
Have not seen it in the Availability list. Did I miss it? :)

"White Madeira" thing.....?    Hummm, I dunno Igor, I'm new at this fig stuff.

I honestly don't know if there is such a fig or maybe it goes by different name.   F4F member Tam sold me with his post back in September of last year.  White Madeira     Maybe Tam will send me a few cuttings........ :-)
