Encanto Farms Fig Cuttings 2014

As a point of reference.   Last year, the list was released on Jan 28th (I think) with a note saying any orders received on or before Feb 1st would be treated with equal priority for those who donated.

I sent my order on Jan 30th and received an email on Feb 3rd confirming what was set aside for me and how much to pay.  I got 5 out of the 9 that I ordered.  Only 2 survived my level of affection (an lsu tiger and a white tx eb).

So, if you don't get an email from Jon by the 15th, then it probably be later. :P

:(

That's why I listed 25 alternates to my 5 varieties ordered.

About the only advantage to being new at this is that there are plenty of interesting varieties to order :)

I orders 17 w/o alternates this year.  I have about 130+ cuttings (21 varieties) in the fridge just begging to get rooted this spring..  I quitely and slowly took over a crisper drawer during the winter.  I got a few strange looks from the wife, but she didn't say anything. :)

If you did not receive an acknowledgement, send me a note. I think I missed sending a few.

Jon,
Since I got an error, I resent my order this morning (Feb.12th). Please use the latest email, with the "-2" at the end, if you remember.
Thanks!

It is a tremendous amount of work you are going to have.
Are you doing this alone or you have some help?

I have a note saying my order was received so now I just wait and see what I get.  Hate waiting for anything but I should be use to it by now.  I finally have an orchid division that I have been looking for for at least 5 years.  Hopefully picking it up on Saturday!

I'll be the first to share my request. I don't know if I will be getting any of it yet. Any others who submitted a request and donated care to share their requests?

Did you forget to add your pricing options?

I was thinking about doing that, curious what others requested.  Maybe people could give a rationale behind any particular selections if they want to.

My list was only for 5 cuttings, with a long list of alternatives - I wanted to get 5 varieties even if 4 of the original 5 were already sold out.  I knew there was about a 0.01% chance of getting the GM-155.  My 'different' selection was for Pajerera, a Spanish fig grown for commercial drying, and those dried figs are great.  Not sure my summers are hot enough for it, but like I need another excuse to build a greenhouse?

Requested varieties:

  299    C  Valle Negra

  386    C  Pananas Purple

I had a heck of a time doing copy and paste from the fig cutting data table to my email, not sure what the issue was.

Tylt33,
no, my final list included the codes and dropped italian everbearing to keep the total under 21 for $14 to ship. If I get everything, the total should be exactly $100, not counting the donation.

Ed,
I had trouble pasting form info into email. I opened a word doc, pasted and made changes in that, then pasted to the email. If I had to make a change to the table in the email, I deleted the table, edited word, then pasted from word again.

We share a lot of choices. Many of mine were based on "Trees of Joy" photos and descriptions. What's so special about GMT-155? I know nothing about it.

GM-155 is Maltese Beauty

And I did the same into a text document before copying to my email.

I still never got an email receipt, I hope I didn't get lost in the mix.

I made my choices by what I though might do well out here.  The cravo house that is used to keep the some of the Camellias in bloom would be ideal for some of the fig trees.

Wow ,,, I didn't know GM-155 is Maltese Beauty ??? See I still have a lot to learn;-( probably I was not going to be able to get anyway but now I know!!!!

BUMMER!!!!  I messed up.  I didnt see all that info.
I didnt use a form,  I only ordered 2 and I didnt list any alternates.
I just wrote the names and numbers like this
582  E  De la Reine
629  E  Violette Soleis
"Soni does not follow instructions"

Soni, you should be fine

I think I messed up my ordering; and I didn't put in alternatives.  Do you think I could re-order to include some other varieties and an alternative list? ARGHHHhhh;  Hope I get a chance next year then!
