Has anyone here anything from the second round of cuttings?

Radio silence.

I put in a second order and got one variety, which happened to be on my original list.  Go figure.  I think Jon was probably just trying to spread the wealth.  No harm in that.  As far as receiving it, haven't yet, hopefully its in the mail!

Honestly though... I really just wanted to write on this post because it's probably going to go down as the longest post in the history of F4F Forum and I didn't wanna miss out on the action!!!  #new_F4FF_record

timmy2green - are you saying that you have heard about your request placed AFTER Jon posted the list of 'remainders'?

Anyone else so far?

I also requested a couple varieties that I did not get on my original list when they were listed on the 'remainder' list under a different number.  Can't blame a guy for tryin'  :)

I have not gotten any response from my post 3/1 order.  no receive confirmation, let alone what was available for it.

I did exactly what you did and tried listing some of the varieties i didn't get on the first round but with their alternate number.  I also had a bunch of new varieties in my second order because i didn't have an alternative list.  In sum I had 18 varieties on my second order, almost all in the C or D category and only a few from my original list (with alternate number).  I sent that second order on 2/20 and ended up getting one variety total, which happened to be on my original list.  I don't believe the updated list had been posted yet when i sent this second order in.  Received response 5 days later on 2/25.  Paid immediately but waiting on package still.  Hopefully this is the detail you were looking for.

I got confirmation of my post 3/1 order. Getting one that I had on my first list that I didn't get the first time around. Tacoma Violet. Getting a few additionals, too. Peter's Honey, Falls Gold, and Samoa Sunshine. I'm excited about the last one because it looked so tasty on the varieties page.

I got Pete's honey too.  Just got conformation on my March order.  5 more additions.  OK no more for me for a while.

Got 5 out of 8 request on my second order, including California Brown Turkey....woohoo! ;)  I also am getting 271-1, a persistent caprifig.  I've got a silly idea of trying my hand at some fig breeding. :)

No reply as of yet, I put in for one variety on second round only. I guess that's what I get for not being a contributor. Someday I'll put something up for auction with proceeds to the foundation, but I'm not going to buy priority, especially for 2nd round if that even exists.

Black Bethlehem availability on the final list must of been a typo. Very pleased to be getting everything else. Reduced qty on 143-38 and 291, so they must be popular.

For rooting, what works best for me is the sphagnum in a box in the closet.

I've cut the cuttings in half for a second chance.

Trying 3 inch peat cups on perforated 16 oz plastic cups with mg and jiffy seedling mix, under grow lights.

Late last night, I also received confirmation of my second (post 3/1) order, and I am pretty excited!  But I'm still awaiting the arrival of the cuttings from the first order.  Not upset that they haven't arrived yet, weather seems better now, less chance of them freezing in the mailbox before I get home from work.

Anyway, this time I got 7/8 of the requested cuttings, including one cutting each of the two varieties I had requested again this time (although under different number, same variety).  Here is what I was told would be coming:

Funny - the one that I didn't get was an "A" level cutting, Italian Everbearing.  The two I am getting a single cutting on are the two varieties I really wanted most from my first order, so I am very glad to get a chance to root them.  The first order I got 0/5 of my requests, but 3 from my list of alternates.  So I will have 10 Encanto Farms varieties to work with in addition to all the ones obtained from fellow forummers.  Gonna have figs out the ears soon...Good thing my wife likes my gardening hobby :)

I also got an order confirmation email last night.  I'm pretty happy because I missed the first order, but got 4 out of the 5  I asked for:

Just got confirmation that I received 3 more. I did not receive any that I had re-ordered from the first list.

Anyone who wants their cuttings shipped to them when it is below freezing, let me know. Otherwise, we all have to wait till Martin quits ordering polar vortexes.

I'm ok with shipping now.  The address I sent you will have it held inside at the post office for pick up.  Do you have any of those cuttings I ordered left Jon?  I haven't heard anything yet.

To best of my knowledge, all paid orders were shipped today. I have a large stack to invoice, yet, today or Monday.
