what is the bright red one at the bottom of basket lower in 1st pic. It looks like a strawberry? Sicilian Red  would be the logical guess.

Do they maintain the colors when canned whole.  If so that should make beautiful jars and tasty.

That look great Frank, but one word of caution. I see that some of them are split, just make sure none have soured as one soured fig will ruin the whole jar. Been there and done that. Thanks for posting.

Good eyes, guys!
There are several habanero peppers at the bottom of the colander that will be an integral part of the fig preserves. Caliente!!

Gene, yes indeed. The split areas will be removed.

My wife is always trying to get me to eat more vegetables. Disguising them as figs might work. It caught my eye as I had never observed a fig that shade of red.
