Excel and Atreano RR

Here's my first Excel on the right. Atreano RR on the right. Both were good but not mind blowing good. Atreano was pure sugar and not as complex as last year. I should have eaten it before Excel which was creamy but not as sweet. Looking forward to better figs.

Thanks for sharing.  Are those brebas or has you main crop started?

I had my first excel/excell recently. I thought it pretty good for such an early fig, and that it holds promise.

Last year I had quite a few from Atreano RR and thought they were rather bland through the entire season. There are quite a few on it this year, and if the fruits don't move into at least the '7-8' flavor range, it's going to a new home where it will be more appreciated.

The Excel was a Breba.

Please give the Atreano RR another try. Last yr was my first yr with fruit and they were outstanding. This one was one of the early ones. I think it's highly variable from one fruit to another. I wish I knew how to make them all come out good. I had a Conadria the other day that was incredible and others that were half as good, and yet another one very bland. All were picked at the ripe stage and some had a lot more seeds than others.

I also find that once you make up your mind that you are getting rid of it, a really good one pops out.
