Exciting arival from Italia :) "Barbara & Marcos Fig"

Very nice, Aaron.  Marcos and Barbara are a very nice couple.  It looks and sounds like figs are a very strong tradition in their family.  Thanks for taking the time to put this together and share with us.  Good stuff!

Good looking fig

Looks absolutely amazing! Very nice couple indeed. Definitely propagate these guys - cross my fingers that I'd get to try one or grow one in the future!

Thanks everybody for compliments.

I figure it would be for everyone's benefit if I just root them here and grow them, then get cuttings from them.
I have 4 growing from last season, they are good growers. Who knows I might have cuttings by coming summer (from the older ones).
They definitely deserve the protection that Marcos has provided.

What did they do with all the branches?

Nice trees and amazing fruit with honey dripping!

Danny,
Yes, they are really passionate about the fig trees, it is in their family history.
From father to son ...passing it on and on from one generation to another.

Brian,
I think he tosses them in the shredder :/
On my way out I noticed he had a bucket full of water and he had about 10 branches in there, he said he is preparing few trees for his son.
I could, easily, get 30-45 cuttings from those 10 branches, ugh..anyway.

Mike,
Calvin,
John,
I will propagate these and it's my goal to let this variety and others from Barbara and Marcos family trees to spread their wings all over the US. Even all over the world...maybe, LOL ;X

Well get intact nodes from the shred pile and send them to Charlie!

Only if I knew when he was trimming ..oh well. Lesson learned.
