Sometimes its hard for me to explain things in chatroom like i would otherwise like over the phone. Pictures do well also. Recently i was trying to tell someone about how close and the differences between a Hardy Chicago bought by me years back from paradise nursery and ediblle landscaping sals also bought by me years back. So here are the of both trees that i had taken last year. Leaves are very similar except sals tends to be smaller and fatter,
early in season they do look more similar i have noticed. The fruit shape is simialr as well but the sals is a little stubbier and plump and more sweet taste.
Hardy Chicago leaves are a little larger and the thumbs tend to be a little skinnier that sals along with the middle finger leaf . The fruit is not as stubby and slighty longer i cant think of the proper term to use. The taste is different than sals , its more rich and figgy taste for lack of better term and not as sweet as sals which is sweet but lacks for the most part that rich fig taste i enjoy most.
Here are the pictures .
