beautiful. simply beautiful!

To cool,the trees look great,and I like the way you air layer.i must try that this summer.

That really is very impressive. I can't wait to see your part of the world again. I can almost smell the air in your pictures. Thank you for sharing.
mgg

I thought there needed to be leaves between each air layer to provide energy for the roots to grow. is this possible because you don't remove the bark from all around the branch?? how much bark do you remove?

thanks,

Jose

@Grasa  ... thank's
@victor....  do it but very carefully !!  must be look plant condition..
@mgginva... U welcome
@CTFIGS..... I remove all bark from all around the branch in 8 air layer

I saw this type of air layering a few months ago - very impressive!!

Did you start them at the same time, or did you start the one at the bottom, wait a week then the next one and wait a week and on?

Wow I am really impressed , very interesting!!

I'm impressed by your skills. Nice job man.

@JoAnn749....I start it in the same time.... and i cut it in the same time too
                    advantages of this system is the possibility of a higher life.

@Pattee....Thank you
@Juicebud..Thank you

I love this idea Bud. I look forward to trying it myself.

You may have stated this already but what kind of soil/media did you use in the plastic wrap?

Thank you for sharing the photos.

@ saxonfig .......I just use the soil,husk fuel &  compost..... 30:30:40

Thank you for the reply bud.

U welcome

Coming into the discussion late, wish I had tried this on my Panache.  I planned to do airlayers but held off because I wanted to eat more figs this summer.

I read that you said all of the figs are Panache.  In the last photograph, the fig plant in the middle has different leaf form.  Is that one different?

Has Panache performed well for you in your humid climate (fruit quality, I mean)?

the young panachee or all of fig tree sometimes will have different leaf.

 Panache performed well for
a tropical climate

OH! just love those pictures, bud! that is so luxious.  You take a great care and it shows!

Thank you brother........

This is very cool.

I have a straight sucker that might make a good choice for this propagation technique.  I think it will be easier then digging it out plus I will have more trees!

Thank you  Hank C.
Jo-Ann.... good job....

Very nice pictures indeed, Can I ask you, how long does it take from the first step until you take the cuttings for planting?

looks awesome, makes so much sense. I think I'm going to start doing this Extreme method of propagation. I did some air layering for my rare apple treese from Island of Cyprus, it was very easy, took 30 days for the entire process and it's full proof.

Amazing; WOW.
