Does anyone know where to get cuttings of a maltese falcon fig? I saw one on eBay but it was outrageous. 75 bucks for two cuttings !

That's the going rate and that actually may be a bit cheap.

Wait few more years and you'll get cheaper...happened this way with every new varietie...

patience works really well with getting great figs on the forum.

   Be careful with e-bay. Unless you know the seller (preferebly some trusted member of the Forum), you may not get what they advertise.  Good Luck, and it's probably a good idea to follow previous members advise and be patient.

Just be aware- this is not RdB or Kathleens' Black. You need to pay up or find something spectacular to trade.  Otherwise your going to wait a very long time. 

i'm thinking maybe in 2-3 years Maltese Falcon will be more readily available. now.. Maltese Beauty is rather new, but MF has been around a bit.

I second that- I recently made a purchase from driveway farmer and was extremely happy with what I received. Will definitely use again. 

My question: Is Maltese Falcon really that good of a fig or is it just because it is rare?

i heard MF is as good as they say it is. just haven't had urge to go after one. maybe in few years.. on the other hand i saw Maltese Beauty and i had to have one. so actively looking for one. 

Well I will if I really have to ... Try growing MF here in valley stream and ill tell you if its any good im a team player and I will take one for the team.. :)
