Fall Colors

A little different from the summer - color and shape. The skin is thicker too. The inside is sweet and figgy. This is a handful of Celeste harvested today and that is about it for this year from this tree.

looking pretty good to me.

i noticed that some figs show more difference between the season.

when i got my Paradiso Gene, i was told this is late fig. however, i had them rather early this year and they were amazing. then i had second flush of main crop in fall. they were definitely different. the summer figs had more sweet, and warm taste to them. the fall figs had more distinct watermelon taste. during the summer, the skin was thick, but had softer texture. the fall figs had leatherly skins. i prefer summer fig from that tree.

on the other hand, i thought Kathleen's Black had much better taste in fall. the thinkness of skin didn't change much. it had better, smoother meat. i enjoyed it better in fall. it was the first year putting out the figs, so it might change next year.

VdB was just about same both summer and fall. very reliable.

This is pretty typical for later season of Celeste here.  Interiors look awesome on those!
