The Fig Gathering thread is closed, so I'm posting info about this meeting here.

Tim Drag has invited anyone interested to come to his home, in Chester NJ. Sunday October 5th for his 2nd fig meet and greet. Start time 10 AM. Burgers, hotdogs and beverages will be provided, bring food if you wish. Bring any fig starters or cuttings or any other plant material for trades or raffle. Wife and kids are welcome. Tim lives about 20 minutes from Bill's Figs and Italian Figs and about 50 minutes from Bass if you would like to visit any of them. You can send me a PM for details or contact Tim (Slingha) at Yuku

Last year we had an excellent attendance with trees galore and plenty of food. Spouses and kids playing and fig folk talking figs. Looking forward to more of the same this year!

Unfortunately, this meeting is now cancelled due to the fact that Tim's boys are ill with a serious pulmonary infection. Tim possibly may reschedule, that is to be determined. Please spread the word to any who may be planning to attend. Sorry folks, I know a lot of you were really looking forward to this as was I, but I think it's agreed that the kids come first and we certainly don't want to risk any attendees getting this bug.

Barry,

Likewise for a speedy recovery for the kids. Seems like this virus or whatever it turns out to be is going around alot. Hope to see you and Tim (and other fig lovers) sometime in the near future.

Take care and future good health.
