Fastest rooting ever?!

I rooted 3 cuttings using a new method that I made up. I'm guessing most people are saying, oh a 14 year old can stick a cutting in soil ! Well no, I made up a method and found roots, like 1cm long on 3 cuttings in .. guess how many days ...

SIX DAYS from starting my rooting method, 8 days from cutting off the tree. Good method huh? I already have some buds beginning to get big and swell ready to open. 3/4 cuttings rooted in 6 days, the other cutting has roots but very small ones, I would not call the roots yet.
I might tell my method when some people contribute to the thread. I have another 4 cuttings in the ziplock bag method, Nothing happened to them. So i am sure the "Aeilee Method" is working pretty well with me.
I might show some pictures after I finish with something im doing with the cuttings (top secret) ... You will see ! You will be surprised and impressed. :D
I'm sure they rooted before the 6th day because the roots are pretty long.. I could say 5th day safely but I did not check them then..

Can not wait any more, please share with the rest of us.
thx

Not biting.

Good for you, Aeilee! I'm sure you meant "Fastest rooting ever...for me?!" My personal best has been just under 5 days. No secret. Just a 5:3 mix of MG potting mix and course Perlite. Dipped for 1 minute in liquid Hormex root hormone after making two shallow scrapes of about 1" length on opposite sides. Lastly, set on 90-degree heat source and keep moist. Badda bing! Badda Bang! Good luck!

OK Dan, I mean aeilee, share the method.

But I gotta warn you to get ready for another forum cluster#### if it turns out to be bogus. You do understand that your reputation is not exactly stellar around these here parts, right? I'm rooting for you. Hope springs eternal.

Nice ruben ! Once I become more experienced maybe I can root them faster? I'm not sure. But compared to the other rooting methods I found this one amazing ! No I am not lieing . There were 2 varieties : Bwaydi, and Swaydi (Souaidi) .. Both from Lebanon. Could it be that these two varieties root quickly or the technique i used? Idk

Aeilee,

In order to know for sure, you must isolate the steps you used and rule in/out if it was the technique or the variety. If it's the technique, the success should be reproducable with other cultivars. Granted, there ARE some varietal that seem to require more time. You would also need to compare rooting times for dormant vs. non-dormant cuttings. Good luck!
