Favorite honey figs?

Complex flavor and all are awesome but how about the less popular classic honey figs?

Kadota does not do well in this climate... splits open like crazy bugs all up in it. Less than 25% of crop ripens well...

Do you guys have favorite's amongst White Marseilles/St Anthony, Marylane Seedless, LSU Gold, Peter's Honey or any others? Cajun Gold comes highly recommended but of course I killed that one off for now. That Hawaii chart of flavors had Ischia White highly ranked for flavor...

There is a reason The East dealt with Malta rather than Kadota, Tena, for ridiculously sweet.

Monstreuse is probably your best bet.  I think that's more of a honey fig.

Hi. I think Lattarula is a classic, simple ,sweet tasting fig. And At zone 7a, it is vigorous and very fruitful ,under right weather condition.

I like Lattarola(spelled with an o) which is similar to Marseilles white but with a pink interior. It's very productive and produces large sweet figs.

I tried some Calabacita dried figs from Spain and so far these are my favorite, have to find a source for the tree though.

In ideal temps. I say Peters Honey.
Gave away the plant only to make room for the rare ones but I did love it!

If or when I move to a bigger place I will add it again.

My favorite honey fig is PINGO DE MEL
A first class fig with honey to spare

You can't forget about Italian Golden Honey from Paradise Nursery or Atrano from Belleclare. Both consistently ripen for me and taste great in zone 5
