10:30-12:00 - Dr. Powell will discuss variety selection, care and maintenance of tree fruits such as apples, pears, figs. oriental persimmons, peaches and nectarines.

Dr. Powell is very knowledgeable and friendly. They have quite a few large fig trees (4-5 rows with 10-12/row). Be sure to check out his hoop house citrus mini orchard. One could easily plant figs in such a setup to warp zones.
