Here's one you don't see too often. No ripe figs yet, but I just wanted to show the clusters of figs on it.
This is a black fig w/red interior. It's a Belleclare fig that was grown in the famous Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam Germany

Shailesh, You know you are going to have to come back in a few weeks.:) You are going to like that Takoma Violet that I gave you. I just had a few figs from one of mine. They are great.

Fairly sweet and a nice melon taste to it. It was better than I expected. I had thought that it was nothing more than a glorified BT. The normal shape of these are more elongated, similar to a BT.

Last week my girl was on a trip to Berlin and Potsdam which is only about 3 1/2 hours via Autobahn from here.

And guess what? I told her to go to Sanssouci Palace to your figs mom and say a big hello from you! ;-)

And your figs mum told her that she is very grateful that you keep such a good eye on her daughter in far away PA, USA! ;-)
