Fertilizing using organics

Hello all. This is my first year growing fig trees. I started in January from cuttings on most of my trees. Everything so far has been in organic soil and organic fertilizers. I put a mix of organic Espoma garden tone, lime and bonemeal in the soil when up potted. I have top dressed once at the end of May. If anything, I go light with the dressing because I'm always afraid to burn up plants. I'm starting to notice a lot of mottling on some of the plants. Some heavier than others. I have read a lot about FMV on this site and not to worried about that. My question is, am I feeding enough? Should I be using a water soluble fertilizer also? Oh sorry. I am in central NY growing in containers.

Welcome to the forum. You'll get some varying opinions on if you're feeding enough or too much.

Based on the ingredient list of the Espoma, I would take a tablespoon of the Espoma, a tablespoon of unsulfured molasses mix with a gallon of rain water and apply every two weeks.  You could add an aquarium airstone and let it percolate for a few hours to aerate the mixture before applying.

Best of luck.
