Another first time fruiting tree for me which is only two years old. A small to medium size fig. Another honey/melon flavor that is not to sweet and no seed crunch. About a 6 but should improve or I will send it to Martin.
Fico de Capo is also an alternate name for Sal's Corleone which is a larger, medium dark, very sweet fig, very different from this one. I'm wondering if your fig is misnamed or another fig was given the same name.
At least it has a fancy name. Thanks for sharing
it just mean's the captain or boss's fig
Yeah but if you can barely talk southern it still sounds fancy
Barry, sorry about causing the confusion. In my haste this morning I left off the "Verde" which I have now corrected.
Ok that makes better sense, thanks for the correction. Do you know if this is also sourced to Belleclaire?
Sorry but I don't. Mine came from Gorgi
The inside looks so delicious though.
Mike,Thanks for sharing the pictures and info.Could you please post a few pictures of leaves? Thanks. The figs exterior and interior looks similar to Italian Honey aka White Marseilles.
Mike, it looks like it has a nice closed eye which is a a much needed criteria for my area..So. Florida. Maybe another year, it is still young.
cabo with a B Verde is one of the Portuguese islands. i am just wondering if this is yet another Portuguese fig.
