FICO NERA DUEMANE FIG: 2015 ~ Here is a good example how the characteristics of a fig can change as it ripens. When taking pictures of anything take in consideartion that lighting plays a big role on how the end results will appear. The photos I am presenting here are all from the same tree. I even added a photo with a quarter for those who would like to get an idea of the size of the actual fig.
Never heard of that one, Karla, but it looks great!
#43 from Belleclare, Fico Nera Duemane(Saint Angelo Di Lombardi,Italy), Mountain Fig, 2 crops-Medium-Purple-Black, with Red Center, Sweet
Looks delicious!Has it been caprified?
There wasn't any fig wasp present at the time this fig develop. So I highly doubt it got caprified. No wasp present in the fig at the time of eating. :)
Thanks for the great pictures.
I'm glad you like them. My pleasure elin! :-)

Wow Karla, your post was right on time! My tree has figs on and I was wondering what to expect when they ripen. Your photos are amazing! Keep up the good work! thanks!
Very nice, Karla. You called it due mane "two hands." Is that how you got it, or are you taking editorial license?
Thank you for your kind words, Dennis. Resist temptation of cutting them till they are ripe. Very well worth the wait! :)
