Fico Paradiso.

pete, i do appreciate your help in clearing up the confusion. i thot i had it straight. 5 related green figs and the morle paradissio.

fine. all cleared up, right?

well, this morning mike posted pics of figs, one of which was joe's paradisio. his was green with gold flecks. a GREEN FIG.

mine are close to ripening. by tomorrow, there will be no hint of green. i have a BRONZE fig.

i can't get thru to mike, i think he's unconscious, poor thing. but i'm not at al lsure we have the same tree. joe told me he would hand pick a paradisio. the tag said paradisio.

i'm not sure we have the same tree. yeah, i saw the pics of bronze paradisio. they were like mikes. mostly green. i've seen no pics of a completely  bronze paradisio.

so, what do you think?

.

susie, i never had Joe's Paradiso to say if it's bronze or otherwise. i only know that Joe's Paradiso is different from others.

thanks pete. i thot my confusion was eliminated, then i saw the dramatic difference in mikes trees and mine, so i got even more confused.

i guess i'll just have to live in a state of perpetual confusion.

well, i live much of my life like that.

i do apprieciate this thread.

susie, you can compare the leaf shape from the pix on joe's site, http://www.figtrees.net/ . he says it's white/golden skin with pink flesh. you can post pix of your fig and the leaf shape and members might be able to tell what yours is :)

Hey George, I have GM#9. The inside of this fig is beet red and excellent! Mine is in the ground but I'm planning on digging it up in a few weeks.

dennis, Paradiso Gene doesn't have beet red pulp for me. it's red and depends on the ripeness and time of the season, it might be more of light red to red. it's no where near CdD in my area. maybe GM#9 and Paradiso Gene is not the same? or difference in location?
