There was an article recently published in the Harrisburg paper about growing figs in the north, and it featured our very own member Tim Clymer. Tim is an awesome guy and his farm " threefold farm" is a wonderland of edibles. Congratulations, Tim! Here is the link: http://blog.pennlive.com/gardening/2014/09/figs_in_harrisburg_its_easier.html
Neat article, thanks for posting this Bill. Its articles like these that get people really interested in growing things that they otherwise wouldn't have bothered with or even thought about.
Awesome article, thanks for posting it :)
Good find, thanks Bill and congrats Tim!
Not just the article is good. Go to Threefold Farms' website and enjoy it. It's put together very nicely.
Very nice, way to go Tim.
Tim's famous!
Excellent!
Nice article. congrats.
Great find Bill!
Thanks all! I was honored to have George Weigel (the writer) stop by and ask some questions and for our farm to be featured online. Glad everyone enjoyed it. And yep, an acre of figs... (eventually) I wrote a companion article of sorts on growing figs as a sort of brain dump of everything I've learned through here on the forum and my own experience. I'm hoping it to be part of a series on growing "unusual" edibles. Here's a link: http://www.threefoldfarm.org/blog/low-maintenance-fruits-figs
