Yummy, I had those. Childhood "yom Nom Nom" soo good, really sweet strong banana flavor goes well with fried lumpia banana (banana egg roll). Cool

Not sure, but it is native to Philippines. They call it figs banana.
Jon, you're correct it is pitogo. Just verified. Do you grow this type?
My wife is in the Philippines as we speak. She continually sends me photos of all the incredible places she visits. She needs to stop that right now! I wonder if she could bring me a corm or two of this fig banana?Today's pictures: Flower salad for lunch and beach scene

Unfortunately we only have frozen saba here so the turon is tasty but just not as tasty as fresh plantain with the cane sugar.
Funny looking and funny name.
Dennis, no Luzon type.
That is the cutest banana I have ever seen. I would love to have one. Bass, if you get a sucker from Jon, then please save a sucker for me! Bass, are you getting any fruit from your bananas?
Wait! I remember seeing those bananas when I was in the Philippines! They are good.
I personally do not like that 'slimy' taste off any banana kind. However, I was told that eating it, is good to any person nutrition intake.Sooo, once in awhile, I do manage to kind of eat/swallow at most half off one.
I got flowers on my banana trees but not long enough season to ripen.
