Rui, the fignificent ficus barber took the time out to visit my garden. He managed to tame 6 potted figs that had never once in 10 years seen any pruning. Was glad to have his experience in shaping and lopping for continued vigor and production. At the end we had a fair amount of cuttings and I had wanted to give back to the forum by making them available to anyone interested. The varieties are common, but of course are proven and have all given tasty fruit this past season. The (Eastern?) Brown Turkey gives really great breba, and the Petite Negri is my personal favorite (so far). Attached are some photos of the gang and their new 'doos.

All gone to happy homes!

I'll try to update as the packs are claimed A post here and a PM would be helpful to record everyone who wants. Thanks a bunch for looking, glad to bring it full circle and help someone get what they might be after - even if it is some of the more common varieties!

Kyle

Common to some but first cuttings to others.  I'm sure they will go out and be well received!  I think this is going to be a very favorite time of the year to others as well as myself.

How long can cutting be stored? I won't be able to plant anything until next year.

Fig Boi,

You can store cuttings for a few months wrapped in plastic in the crisper of your fridge. There are some threads up on exactly how best to prep them for storage. Rooting them when you wish to is one of the great things about the hobby!

Another generous member! Good varieties for members that do not have them, I am sure you will find enough interested members who will cherish the gifts.

Kyle, happy to do it, and happy with the Petite Negri cuttings in my fridge :)
It was nice to catch up for a little bit.
