my DW picked up some of this stuff from Aveeno's "Active Naturals" line.

i can't tell you what the difference is between it and any other body wash, but it smells great.  it has that smell of sweetness of fig sap.  pic on the front...looks like panachee, eh?

<t has that smell of sweetness of fig sap>

As long as it doesn't have the fig sap's ITCH also, it's all good! :-)

Jason, you're not getting kinky on us, are you?

I have seen Perlier, Ahava, Bath & Body Works and several others have jumped on the fig band wagon. But I have never smelled the sap of my little fig. I guess I can try that when I pinch it this summer. Who knew!

Only with you, Jon, only with you.

@nhardy, after you have taken cuttings off a few trees and sat amongst a pile of a couple dozen sticks, you will know the smell.  I have a pretty sensitive nose, I guess that's part of the problem, but ...

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about, the "sweet" smell of the fig sap?

Very funny!
[that stuff must be heavily proceesed, before one daring to wash with]

I have never smelled the F.carica white sap. Though I did get
a feel of its 'ficin' causing some itching on my skin.

I also noticed that fig leaves (specially in an enclosed space),
tend to produce a very strong foul odor that smells very similar
to a tom cat's pee...

I've smelled the cat pee smell, the back room of my house with all of the figs smells this way on a hot sunny day.

Next time you take cuttings, put them in a zip-top bag immediately after slicing.  Let them sit and weep into the bag for a few minutes, then take a nice big smell.  Hopefully you will smell the sweetness I'm talking about.  It is very unique, not unpleasant.  It reminds me of condensed coconut milk.

will do.

now i'm going to think i'm crazy until someone else confirms what i'm talking about.  i've got a sensitive sniffer, but it's a pretty pungent smell, i can't believe nobody else has smelled it.

Jason, I have smelled that fragrance many times in my life, growing up around fig trees. I posted once about it before, but I smell it in the summer on a hot still day. Kind of a mild heavy musky smell. Never have noticed it with cuttings, though. I have never smelled that "cat pee" others speak of. Like our palates, our "smellers" are all different

Ive gotten that heavy figgy smell thats wonderful when the figs are first put away in garage or a little less heavy when i open the bin of cuttings im trying to root.
I have also experienced the nasty cat smell outdoors but forget if its early or late in season or if it was a particular fig plant.
Now ive cut branches outdoors and got latex on my hands but never attemped to smell my fingers to see what type if any smell there was.  ; )

Hey Jason your probably not crazy just observant.
