Bringing it to a potlatch tomorrow at work. Will report back! I hope it isn't too dry,

looks yummy.

Mmmmmm looks good!

Very nice, Nichole!  Please let us know how it turned out.

Nichole, thanks for sharing.   I'm surprised it rised, raised? so well and evenly with the figs on top. .  That's good to know. What type of cake is the batter ?

Thank you Nichole. Interesting link, too.

Nice, really nice! On my list.

Looks really good!

Hi Nichole,
So, is it a "dessert king" of "desert king" :P ?

Looks great!
How was it?

It does look good Nichole! Anxious to hear your review.

It turned out good! Very dense, only a little sweet so if that's your thing you'll like it. Personally I might mix a little honey into the batter to sweeten it just a touch more, and maybe a little more greek yogurt to make it a touch more moist. But a lot of people loved it.

Put some cool whip on top, maybe a little vanilla ice cream on the side and you are in business.

I wondered if it was going to be moist enough. I personally don't like overly sweet desserts. More yogurt or a coconut oil (their suggestion as a sub).
A coarse sugar sprinkled on top might add a bit more sweetness or powdered sugar. Diced figs in the cake mix, raisins , maybe nuts...
Looks like a recipe I can "play" with.
Thanks for posting it!

Adding applesauce would sweeten a little and add moistness - 2 birds 1 stone. Might try that next time.

Ice cream would do the trick, too ;)
