I finally found a nursey that has fig trees which of these do you recommend.  I am looking for fruit taste and production.

Panachee
Duphine
Kungming (unsure as I cannot fing this one anywhere)

I have only tasted turkish brown and black mission figs that were dried.  So I have no clue about what my perference is as for taste.

i don't have those, so don't know if they have fruit taste. Violet de Bordeaux (VdB) has raspberry taste if the weather cooperates. Col de Dame Blanche (CdDB) also has very strong raspberry taste. late Paradiso Gene has bit of watermelon taste.. there are others. depends on where you are located, VdB might be easiest to get.

I will check on these types at the nursery.  He gave me only 6 of the names but has 20 varieties.

What is your location?

Panache is great but requires heat.  King is great and pretty early.  The others I've not heard of.  The obvious answer is to get one of each!  :)

Get them all and if some don't do well don't keep them.
