Fig Constantin Help Please. Updated with a few Pics.

Greetings to All, I am a Newbie to both The Forum and Growing Figs.   This forum has helped Me to begin to understand how to grow figs here in the southeast, Thank You.  I have so much to Learn.                                                                        In My search to add more fig varieties to My collection I recently picked up a new addition at a local Walmart here in Central Florida.  It is called Fig Constantin but I can't find any info on it as far as Fruit type and quality.  I would really appreciate any help in this matter.     Thank You in advance for Your help.

Welcome to the form, Hector! It would be helpful if you could post pictures of the ripe fruit's interior, exterior, eye, dominant leaf shapes and any other fruiting characteristics and growth habits. Unfortunately, far too many people just give an unknown/unresearched fig a name without mentioning that they may be renaming an existing variety they could not identify themselves (it may take several years of evaluation when you know what to look for). That's probably why you cannot find information on it. Good luck!

Late to the post. I think you mean Constantine which is probably Celeste from what I've read after searching for information on it here.

I posted a thread on that variety. I believe it is an heirloom variety of the Celeste. Or some say it is Celeste. The leaves matches the description but as far as fruit, I haven't seen one except on google and the pictures I posted some time ago. I do not have this fig tree because I declined the offer to get one. Celeste is supposedly good, but it has a reputation of dropping its fruits. If you have a celeste tree you can record your findings on similarities of the two variants. I hope you find what you are looking for

Good luck

Wife and I went up to Just fruits and exotics last year,  they are a quality operation.   On one of the grapes I wanted they were out of in the store so she went up in to the fields to get one and after she had brought it down she noticed a tiny nick in the trunk and insisted on going all the way back out and getting another.  Not only that she went around the outside fence where they have the grapes growing and picked grapes for us so we could taste them for ourselves.  Very nice folks and was worth the 3 hour drive.
