Fig cuttings on Amazon

Do you have any information about cuttings from Israel listed on Amazon?

Link to the cuttings and you might get help. But if you are in US any cuttings you buy from overseas will likely be confiscated by USDA.

Thank you. Good idea.

Never buy any plant material from out side the US.  By all it all accounts it ends badly.

Any details?

A visit from the US Department of Agriculture, followed by the confiscation of the plant material and possible any plant material that may have been exposed to the material being confiscated.  In some cases fines may be imposed.

Thank you.

I am one of those that ordered some Fig Cuttings about 2 years ago from eBay, they were from Portugal. About 6 weeks after receiving them I got a call from the USDA Dept. They said they would come to my house and confiscate the cuttings and for me to put them in the Freezer, I did as they said!

The USDA gentleman came to my House and confiscated the cuttings and explained to me the dangers of importing  plant Material that could introduce disease here in the US..

I was taught a good lesson, I will stick to buying from just US sellers on eBay!

Monsieur FrankAllen, do you know if this also goes for seeds?

To be Honest, I really don't know about seeds, just what happened to me getting Plant Material! Be careful!

I would never buy anything from across the pond unless I have the proper documentation. A couple of years ago, I purchased some seeds from overseas.

The process is much easier for small lots of seeds (50 seeds) as long as the seeds are not on the restricted list. You could get a license online. The way it's done is that the material is mailed to the USDA district office first then they resend it to you at your own expense after inspection.
Here's some info: https://www.aphis.usda.gov/wps/portal/aphis/ourfocus/planthealth/sa_international/sa_travel?1dmy&urile=wcm%3Apath%3A%2Faphis_content_library%2Fsa_our_focus%2Fsa_plant_health%2Fsa_import%2Fsa_permits%2Fsa_plant_plant_products%2Fsa_plants_for_planting%2Fct_smalllots_seed

Having a UPS account in such a case is a must.
