I don’t know Jon, a 20 minute drive?
Oh heck yeah, I’ll be there! Especially if those delicious Mexican take-out dishes are on the luncheon menu again this year!
I'll be in Yellowstone that week. Whaaaaaa!
Hi,I would love to come out. It would be great to meet great people and talk about something we all have in common. It would be a great break away from my busy life. You can def count on me being there. I'll bring some Italian Fig tree cuttings from my small collection.
I had a confirming e-mail from Howard, the USDA/UC Davis Orchard Manager, that he will be here for the 2014 Fiesta, and is willing to make a presentation. Yes, I said "yes".
Quote:Kenny, Love to have you. Having to vacation in SD is pretty tough. ;-)) That means I have a place there now? YAY! Please confirm so I will go ahead and cancel my schedule and get the plane tickets! Is is still possible to count 2 place for me? DH would love to join the fun :-)We are moving to SD at the end of this year too, woo hoo!PS. I don't have figs or cuttings to share but will bring some Sweet rice and Mango desert.
Wow. How about doing it as a webinar??????
Waiting on finances, to let Jon know if I am going. Jenia: That is a great Idea to upload Video of the informational stuff. I may be able to commit to uploading to Youtube for everyone to enjoy and learn. (if I videotape, I better not miss any taste testing of the figs...LOL) We didn't have enough Black Madieras for everyone to taste. I did enjoy the Col De Dame Blanc and Jarupa.
Final information is now on the website now.We have people coming from near and far, including Howard Garrison from USDA UC Davis. If you ever had questions about the USDA program, this is an opportunity to have them answered. Maybe I can convince him to make some of his barbequed figs.
eMail sent Jon :)
I'm planning to go, and will bring more home-cured olives. It will be good to see Howard again. My company has drastically cut back travel to the greater Sacramento area, so I haven't been able to stop by Wolfskill for quite a while.
Fig-stuffed olives, I presume.
Sent email Jon:-)
We should hook up a webcam so East and West can give a holler out to each-other!!
