First off a big shout out to Bass for hosting this wonderful day for all us fig fanatics. The weather could not have been nicer and the company was even better. Bass opened his home and yard to us all and showed the kind of hospitality that must be commended.
I was happy to see some old friends and also met some great folks. It is so wonderful to see and meet the people behind the posts. I know many of you reading this wish you could have been there and I feel privileged to be on the East Coast where so many of us fig nuts live and get together on occasion.

By the way, not only is Bass a world class gentleman, he is one heck of a wiz at the barbecue. Next to him is the table of fig trees that we all brought for one heck of a fun raffle.
