I was wondering if I planted an fig seed and it produces a tree with caprifigs and I graft on a different variety such as a strawberry verte the nutrient flow be in sufficient to produce the fruit of or would it be fine?
It would be fine.Healthy and robust Caprifigs are ideal root stocks for any other edible Ficus Carica to be grafted onThere are a number of grafting and budding methods/techniques and a proper timing to do them. For instance a very good guide for a start and without any language constraints is this same forum if you search for grafting and/or budding. You tube has also plenty of very good clips in many languagesThis link will open an interesting paper on grafting and budding ideal for you to understand and follow the processeshttp://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/yard-garden/fruit/grafting-and-budding-fruit-trees/#side-graftGood luckFranciscoPortugal
