[true] Zucchini?
[I do remember seeing both those fruit and leaf shapes at Belleclare.
I bought one; but it died before it ever fruited.]

WOW good one george

I just saw that variety myself after I posted..Havent found picture of leaf formation yet still searching

The leaf is similar to Paradiso, but the fruit is shaped differently.

I uploaded pics, but they didn't show.....sorry.

Is this a well known fig?

If anyone on the list has this fig where would it rate on the taste scale?

Could this fig be somewhat cold hardy?

I do not find it listed with pict. on this site.

Hi Al, do you mind telling us which local farm market you purchased the fig from? Thanks Sergio.

We have not purchased this fig yet.
We have made arrangements to collect all  the cuttings in the fall.

Who has this fig;  northeastnewbie or smiles4allages, or both?

udaman,
My Paradiso fig specimen's  leaves never looked so highly lobed.
Man, these fig names are really driving me crazy.

Udaman, yes, good observation, I also have a Paradiso (Also the same type Giuseppe Morle sells as Paradiso) ours are identical old world Paradiso.  The middle fingers are somewhat more wavy on our Paradiso's but at times the fruit does get a very oblong type shape before maturity. I wouldn't say it is our type of Paradiso, but it is similar must say. Wouldn't have a positive I.D. as to that fact without more observing this particular plant showed in pics.

Gorgi,

Both of us have access to this fig tree, It is over 100 yrs old.

Very Similar if not identical to Stella, fruits and leaves.

Thanks Maggie, and nice to meet you.  I'm pasting the link to my pics on Picasa of the Paradiso leaf and fruit, for comparison.  I can't seem to post them here, so you'll have to browse over there.

I don't know that this is the same variety, but the leaf is very similar.
