Fig ID?

I bought a tree and some figs from someody local last summer and wondered if anyone recognized the variety. Taste was ok, berry flavored, it has good rain tolerance as well.

p.s. these are his pictures from last year. His trees are mostly shaded as well.

OK, I thought Sal's. What do you experts think?

Hello Brent, By chance is this the guy that sells fig tree on craigslist and says he's located on the PA. and Del border? I always wanted to check him out but never made it yet.

You got it Luke. I paid $20 for a 3 ft. sucker. He says the tree was given to him over 30 years ago and he has no idea what it is.

Possible but it is not red enough inside.
If in your place will have red ibside ,then it might be Sal (g) strain

Yes, they were pink at best. Thank you for the advice, I will update when I have figs on my tree, it is still establishing itself and may not give me any figs this year.

The pictures show a very tight eye. If this fig taste good, should be one we should have for this area. It sure looks tasty, ill have to check him out.

I saw his tree after heavy rain and could not spot any split or spoiled figs, although none were dead ripe either. The tree/trees is/are productive, although it is all tall suckers that have to be pulled down to pick the figs, it covers about a quarter of his back yard because he has been moving it around and leaving a trail of suckers. I can't beleive he as not tried planting in his front lawn which is full sun!
I hope mine will taste better and have better color when planted in a better spot.
