Fig ID

My mother was given a fig tree.  She says they're the best she's ever tasted but all she's had before were dried and a second season LSU Purple.

(Martin, don't look at the fruit, you'll cry)

bob.. i thought if i click on the thumbnail, they will be bigger to look at 'em. but they are the same size as the thumbnail x) those figs looks good to me :)

My mother's not the technophile.  Only the photo of the tree as a whole actually gets a lot bigger.  I think the others are somewhat easier to see when clicked, but not a lot.

LSU Gold?


















They do have a certain eye appeal.

I think LSU Gold, great fig here in North Texas, seems like a lot of people who say they do not like figs, will try a LSU Gold and like it.  It is not heavy in the "figgy" area but really sweet, Dries very well when quartered prior to drying.  Becomes more "figgy" when dried, as expected.

My favorite golden fig.

I agree looks like LSU gold, leaf and all. Really sweet fig.
