So I could use some help with a fig ID... I bought a fig from the nursery down the road a while ago. They said it was a Conadria from Edible Landscaping that they got about 7 years ago. Problem is, it doesn't look like a Conadria. I'm thinking it might be an Atreano. The figs develop a light greenish yellow skin with red stripes when they mature. It makes for a very pretty fruit. The insides of the breba are bright purple rimmed with a red interior. Below are a few pics:Nick
Here's a picture of an Atreano breba I found on the figs4fun variety page...http://figs4fun.com/fpix/FP509-54.jpg/D66DCAB7-805E-425F-BCC9-829B6C9100FF+
nick, just going by the leaf shape, it looks more like Conadria. but i read they are both good. Atreano Conadriaboth pix are from jon's database.
Thanks Pete! I'll have to see what the main crop looks like, that should help finalize the ID. Nick
