This is an unknown I picked up from my wife's grandfather. He wasn't able to provide much information on it. Finally in its third year I got some fruit from this one. Last year another tree I got from him was pretty much confirmed as a Kadota.

 This fig seems similar with skin color, but the shape is rounder, the flesh and leaves seem different. Here are the pictures. An help is appreciated. 

Most of the leaves are three lobed.




This is a second fig the flesh came out darker in these pictures. 

Whatever it could be is unknown to me, but it sure looks like a keeper. Could it be some type of verte??

Thanks. I have had a verte. It does not have that strong berry taste. It is lighter and more fig tasting. I would say that the pictures came out a bit dark. The skin color is more like the picture with it still on the tree. 

Well, my Kadota doesn't have a berry taste at all.  It is juicy, figgy, crunchy, honey sweet.  I bought mine at a nursery.  My Verte, however is very berry sweet.  Could be the difference in climates.  Both mine are in ground.  Another possible difference, but my Kadota is very yellow and roundish.  The birds got one, I got one, and there are two unripe on the tree.  First year tree.  It has some time to go.

I should clarify. My fig doesn't have the berry taste of a verte. It is more honey figgy.

It definitely is not the Italian Honey aka White Marseilles which has larger seeds and thin ribbed skin. The Kadota, a Dottato mutation has a chewy (tough) smooth skin. IMO, the leaves also match a possible close relative of Dotatto, Peters Honey. Good Luck.

It does have a smooth rubbery skin. I initially didn't think it was italian honey, but some pictures I have found show latarula with a darker flesh. Although the kadota from last year in the topic I linked had lighter flesh and the dominant leaf is different. I have seen pictures of kadota a with red flesh. I'll have to look at some peters honey pictures.

Flesh and pulp color can vary based on culture or even temperature. It also may be that some of the pictures that you found are of caprified figs, which results in different (darker and more red) pulp colors. IMO, the fig looks to be in the Dotatto, Kadota, Peters Honey Family, especially with the skin description.
