=== fig ID, please

Can you help me to ID this fig, please?
The leaves are not glossy, they are quite hairy, I would say.
The fruit skin color is dark blue to almost black. The inside is pinkish but not very red. The eye is closed. The taste is sweet, almost no acidity, better than a Brown Turkey for sure (at least the ones I tried) but not as good as a VdB.
See the leaves in the attached photos. The tree is old, about maybe 50 years, the growth is spread, its height is about 17 ft, doesn't reach the power lines.

Could it be a Black Mission?

Without knowing more specifics to the figs history and the provided pictures, I would start at looking to figs in the Black Mission classification.

The Fig history is mostly unknown. The tree was planted a long time ago, the variety name was lost or never known. It is producing a lot of tasty figs every year that are enjoyed by the birds and people alike. So, basically, you don't have anything against the Black Mission theory?

It is not a theory,that fig is a Black Mission,in my book.

That is super, Herman! Now I know how the real Black Mission tastes!

It looks like a beautiful black mission to me......I have been eating missions all week.....They are tops.....Thanks for posting the photos..

Herman,

Thanks for the confirmation. I have never seen a Black Mission in person.
