I have yet to make fig tea. Is it best to use dry green leaves or use them after they turn color in Fall. I recall someone saying they use the leaves that fall off naturally. I'm not sure if would affect the taste or take away any benefits of the tea when they turn yellow. .????

I use fresh leaves, and let it dry. Similar to regular tea.
Haven't tried other approaches.

Thanks Jimmy, I just picked a few leaves and I'll give it a go.

Make sure to wash the leaves. Otherwise, you may drink bird dropping.

Jimmy: Please let me know what does your fig tea taste like? Thanks for sharing.

Best,
Tam

You inspired me to pick some leaves and dry them out.  I took the quick route and placed the leaves in the microwave for about 10min with power level 2.  They came out crispy and I gently crumbled them up.  I haven't tried it yet.

I burn the fallen leaves as i do not care for tea.  Oh well.

So are you saying you smoke them instead of drink them? lol

Fig cigar? Sounds pretty cool.
