Fig leaves curled/eaten

I'm not getting that saying for some reason. I take it you're saying just leave it for now?

Sorry for not being clearer. Transplant. The devil you know is how it is doing now under the present conditions. Change the conditions.

Ruben,

I didn't mention that my potted fig trees are across the front of my house, so they'd only need the shade on the front sides.  someone mentioned using lattice in another thread and that might be good for air circulation.  If I put the potted figs out back, they would need shelter on both sides.

Thanks,

noss

noss,

A 10-11" barrier is not going to suffocate your plants. You can use the lattice but it will not achieve the same level of protection/cooling of the pots. Something is better than nothing though.

Okay go4, I took your advice and did the deed....in the ground as of yesterday. Now strangely we are going to have 3 days of rain (after none for 3 weeks). I'm counting on the resiliency of figs here!

OK, Ruben,

I'll use the wooden fencing, then.  Thanks for the advice--Much appreciated.  :)
