Nice video.

Nice video Bass thanks for posting. Do you have any of these varieties?

Bass,

once again you've outdone yourself.
great work.

Those figs sure look tasty this time of year. Looking forward to Spring.

Many thanks for posting the video Bass.
I noticed the dark fig had nice reddish purple stem .

Glad you liked it. I figured I should translate the names of the varieties. Ignore the music.
I would love to have that dark fig which in the video they called it Hamarri.
I've heard that some Israeli botanists are collecting these native fig varieties before they go extinct. Many of these orchards are being turned into developments.

Thats sad news Bass that they are getting rid of those fig orchards for development.

Hopefully they can secure the cuttings so the plant type lives on.
The music is refreshing its been a while since i have heard that , i first heard music like that by a neighbors house .

Those figs look so happy in there native climate don't they?  It is a shame they may become extinct.

Bassam, fantastic find, of course very close to my heart.  I will keep my comment about the "developments" to myself.
Either way, its very nice to see these pictures of Palestine.
Im sure I have a few of these varieties, but they are too young to ID for sure.  In time though.
Figs in the middle east have a deep culture around them and Im always suprised at the breadth and depth of the varities.  For me in terms of interest, its figs from the middle east and then figs from Italy.  Both have a long history and a fantastic amount of variants.

Bass, you have some of these figs here in Pennsylvania? I like the one with the red stem! Very nice as usual from you. Nas33, I agree with you. Very deep history in our 2 cultures. Ciao
