The vicinity of the Danube and the mountains must provide a nice micro climate for the figs.

Notice the mulch around the base of each tree. I've heard all my life fig trees love full sun and the roots like to be under mulch.

The first video is very romantic. Very artistic and inspiring.

For sure You have the best location in Romania for fig planting. You have luck. Trees look very nice. Can you tell me something more about variety that you have? Give also breda crop or only main crop? Is interesting for me because I'm from Valenii de Munte, so  not so far from You.

Like I write at begining I have no relation with this fig orchard,
I don't know the owners or what cultivars they are growing.

Figs are growing in their region for century, the figs are growing 
almost in every garden, even in the wild form.

Well, yes maybe I have to go with a visit.
I'm beginner, so I can't say that I grow something is to early. However I have Peretta, Dalmatie, Brunswick, RdB, Pastiliere,  Brown Turkey, Panache, Michurinska-10 and some 4 no name (2 from my friends from Poland and 2 that I find locally in Romania).

Unfortunately some of them have a virus so now I have to renew my collection.

2 varieties from my garden (Susca, near Moldova Noua, Caras-Severin, Romania), first (left-right) is  Simian-1 variety, second is Svinita-2 variety ... in the middle is fig brandy!

Fig brandy would be good right now. :)
