Today I picked the last 2 ripe figs from my 3yr old tree. We were lucky to eat every fig that appeared this year, which was 20 total. Two of those were brebas. We're a family of 4 and although we'd split 1 fig into 4 slices, it was worth seeing my wife and 2 & 4 year old enjoy and ask for more each time! I'm hopeful that next year will bring us at least double the figs, as I've planted several more trees this year. I had to remove lots of late blooming figs since they wouldn't have matured in time, so that makes me hopeful that the new trees will produce a good crop next year. Here's to no frost damage this winter!
