Here is a presentation from the 2013 New England Vegetable and Fruit Growers conference that I think is interesting. "Greenhouse Figs : How to make them survive the Winter Chill "http://www.newenglandvfc.org/presentations.html Scroll down to the Specialty Fruit section to find it. Also here is written material that goes with it.http://www.newenglandvfc.org/2013_conference/proceedings2013/Paul%20Greenhouse%20Figs.pdf Thought some here might be interested.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I am in the process of putting up trellises for my fruit trees. I have already learned much that will help me design mine by watching the PowerPoint on Building the Perfect Orchard- Experiences with Orchard Establishment in Nova Scotia . This link should be shared in the Gardenweb Fruit and Orchards forum as well. Some really good stuff here.

Thanks for sharing that, very interesting! I did find it amusing one of the slides said that Rhode Island winters are "mild and predictable!" I guess its a matter of degrees..
