fig rooting progress

Manhattan Italian unknown cutting, nice set of roots. I enjoy this period of the propagation stage because I can see the progress, once in standard pots and soil lost usually forever.

On a chance a month ago I bought 10 trimmings from the guy on eBay in NYC that sells them as unknown Manhattan Purple, etc, all rooted very strongly. I like having known named figs from all over the globe, but if this set is a great grower and has many tasty figs, I will not be unhappy. I love making fig jam so the more the better!

I hear you.  I will have a fig recipe book to accommodate the anticipated fig supply in a few years.
