Fig rust? Antigone's Mystery Fig

Hi there. I moved into my house 9 months ago (bay area, northern California, zone 9 or 10) and was surprised with an unidentified fig tree. I actually had no idea that fresh figs tasted so good. Anyway it produced a very strong crop last fall. After some research I expected a breba crop but the tree produced about 4 figs. None ripened and they felt puffy, shriveled, and dropped. Anyway, now it is growing tons of figs but most of the mature leaves have red spots. The young leaves do not. To be honest it never occurred to me to water the tree until a couple of months ago (I have zero plant experience). I have watered it once :/ and added some natural fertilizer. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,
That tree looks to me like she is missing something ( fertilizer? sun ? water? ). But her case still looks like a good one, so don't panic.
I would just fertilize the tree and let her grow .
Do you have(/had) standing water at her feet ?

Thanks!
