Fig shufffle in january.

With outdoor temps hovering around freezing, the "cold room" in my basement has not dropped below 45 F this year.
So I am starting the fig shuffle on days where temps are above freezing, getting them outside to get some cold, and bringing them back in before the temps drop.

I feel your pain, but I gave in.  Just being in the garage the last couple of days (it's cooler than outside), I see that I have a few buds breaking... Ugh.

This is a bad year for dormancy I don't like seeing leaves in Jan. it has gone from 60s at night to 20s too many times.

Jim, the upside is that with the mild temperatures, the roots must be having a party down below and come (the final) springtime, there should be a nice burst of growth up above.

At least, I hope so.

Lets hope so Frank

and it sure is nice not freezing my butt off at work:)

I guess I am luck so for,
the only buds breaking are on the cuttings I am trying to root, about half are getting leaves with no sign of any roots.
