That should be enough.

Plastic runs the risk of causing frost damage on any leaves it touches, better to use fabric sheets or blankets if the material will be touching the plants at all...early season veggie farmers often use floating row covers, basically hoops with fabric or plastic sheets over it. Might have to be pretty large though, from some of the photos.

my main concern is that tarp/plastic cover will break my tip buds while removing them. that would be as bad as frost damage. as much as i don't care for moving them in and out.. it's little safer for the trees.. other than my elbow knocking off breba and buds by mistake.

Pete, here is my shuffle equipment. I have about 65 in the back of my truck and another 25 on the cart. I just back the
truck out on good days along with the cart. I still have another 50 or so that are going to stay in the garage until its is safe to stay.

The tarp thing will work. I have some of the long green stakes from Home Depot. You can bunch the trees together
and put a couple of the stakes in the center pots. Then put a few shorter ones  in some outer pots and drape the
tarp over the stakes. You can also hold the edges down with something heavy of your choice.

Most of us don't have an extra truck sitting around to hold our figs while we are off at work all day... :)

Wait till I tell my wife that I need an extra one to grow figs here in the north.

Actually I am considering getting a newer truck and this one will be dedicated to the figs year round. LOL :)

Hi newnandawg,
Your setup is very nice and practical . Time for rehab ? :P

Everybody should have at least 3 trucks.  I for the wife and 2 for me.

Hi Goss, how you been? I haven't seen you in a while.

Yep, atleast three trucks.

i used to get a new car/truck whenever cd player will go out... lately, the quality of cd player has been too darn good.

LOL@bullet08

Yes I have had other things going on for a while now.  But it is spring now and time to turn to planting and plants again.  By the way figs are just one part of the puzzle to keep the ADD from driving everyone around me as crazy as I am.  I always have lot's of projects going and just jump from one to the other.

So bullet 08 do we need to help you find other reasons for a new truck.

I use air bubble wrap, if it gets very cold, a double layer. This usually works well.
