Fig shuffled just in time to miss the hail, whew

So yesterday was sunny and 80 degrees. Tomorrow morning will be mid 30's with chance of wet snow. Time to bring tender leafing plants back inside!
I'd heard thunder for a bit, it was getting darker and boom....hail! So glad I didn't wait til later to start bringing in the figs, hibiscus and tomato plants.
Car on the other hand is getting free car wash with plenty of rain and pea size hail. Already down to 63 degrees too.
As I've heard before, timing is everything!

Marie

Glad you got them all in Marie! Roller coaster temps can be back breaking  :/

Same thing happened here a week ago! We had about 10 min of pea sized hail. Unfortunately I was too busy getting the baby chicks & mommas to safety and didn't have enough time to get the figlets. Almost all had leaf damage. Sad sad sight. All the pea sized holes in the leaves.

Yesterday I thought ahead and put everything under a lean-two for protection and so they don't get over watered. I just wish i would've thought ahead last weekend. Only had a 15min warning from a friend but I think they will hopefully survive.
