Fig tree dead?

Hi,
I bought a new house and was having a queen palm removed that had a fig tree growing out of the base of it. The guys were able to save a small root ball (only 4 or 5 roots coming off of the end) and I put it in the ground in the yard. I've been giving it vitamin B and water but this is what it looks like now. Any suggestions for saving it or is it doomed? Thank you in advance!

strip all the dead leaves from it, water it well, spray the limbs and trunk thoroughly, try to keep the trunk and limbs hydrated without drowning the roots

Figs are drought deciduous... Keep it watered and it should come back as long as it has some sort of root structure. Like Danny said, strip the leaves.

This is awesome. Thank you so much! I'll be sure to post a pic if it makes it back. Any idea when it might grow a leaf or give some indication that it is in fact starting to establish a root system? Thanks.
